Order of the Medjidie
It is a military medal representing heroism that was given between 1852 and 1922. It is known that it was designed during the reign of Abdülmecid and given to successful Turkish and European soldiers.
Two Important Names Awarded with the Order of the Medjidie by Abdulhamid II: MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK AND LOUIS PASTEUR
M.Kemal Atatürk, the founding leader of the Republic of Turkey, was awarded the Order of Mecidiye from the Fifth Rank by Abdulhamit II on 25 December 1906 for his outstanding services in Damascus while he was a staff captain.
